Add/Remove Programs

Have you ever been bothered with software applications that just won't uninstall themselves from the Add/Remove Programs list found in the Control Panel of Windows? Or even better, seen duplicate entries there?

The system tool "Add/Remove Programs" helps you editing, removing and even adding new entries to the applications registered by Windows control. Thus, if you are having problems with uninstalling a program from this list of applications, simply use DiskState's system tool here, select the application to uninstall and click "Remove".

Note: Removing entries from this list does not clean up the registry or potential remaining files from the program uninstalled. It will simply clean up the list of applications for you.

Note: DiskState can report hidden applications of your Windows installation. Before uninstalling something unfamiliar, please check that the application is not required internally by Windows. If in doubt, please contact Geekcorp Software support for more information.

Validate Installations

DiskState can validate your list of installed applications. If it finds anything suspicious, it will suggest removals for you.

Uninstall Applications

You can uninstall applications directly from within DiskState. This is much faster than the usual Windows Add/Remove Program found in the Control Panel in Windows.

Click "Uninstall" after highlighting an application name from the list.

Command Line Option /addremove

You can open DiskState and go directly into this window from the command line. Simply start DiskState like this:

c:\Program Files\DiskState.exe /AddRemove
