DiskState has been tested extensively for Year 2000 compliance
(Y2C) as well as year 2038 compliance. The only problem found
in DiskState v1.x was files dated after year 2038 (surpassing
the 32-bit boundary of seconds since 1970). DiskState now handles
these files correctly. File display has no problems with year
2000, as DiskState uses 64-bit Win32 functions to handle dates
beyond the year 2000.
The author can, however, not give you a legally binding written
statement that DiskState is 100 % Year 2000 compliant. Every complex
software contains bugs - this cannot be avoided, because every
user uses the software in a different way and a different environment.
DiskState bug fixes can be downloaded for free, and we will of
course quickly correct any bugs which are reported to us.
If you are connected to the Internet and there's an update available for DiskState, this program will (upon your acknowledgement ) automatically update itself.
As we are now well into the new Millennium, there has not been any reported incidents on Year 2000 problems. It has been working nicely for 5 years and more after the year 2000.
